ADSL2+ Speeds: To achieve optimal TPG ADSL2+ speeds, customers must use an ADSL2+ capable modem and have filters installed on all telephone outlets. 20%, 50%, 70% of these ADSL2+ customers are achieving speeds of approximately 20Mbps, 15Mbps and 10Mbps respectively. Actual speeds achieved will vary due to a number of factors including distance from the local telephone exchange, network configuration and traffic, the quality of the customer’s copper phone line, EMI, cabling and equipment.

^~ Consists of 40GB peak (7am–1am) and 110GB off peak (1am-7am local time) download quota. Speed will be throttled to 64k/64k for the period in which the download quota has been exceeded (peak and/or off peak) until the start of the next billing month.

Monthly Access Charge

Monthly access charge is the monthly subscription fee for your plan. This charge does not include excess download and other additional charges. Monthly access charge is paid by Credit Card (CC) or Direct Debit (DD) monthly in advance.

Download Quota

Download Quota means the amount of data you can download during a one billing month. Unused allowance is forfeited.

Shaping

Once the specified monthly download quota is reached, download speed is reduced to the "shaping" speed until the end of the billing month. Shaping allows you to download even when you go over monthly download quota and protect you from unexpected excess download charges.

Free VoIP Calls

Sign up to an eligible TPG broadband and receive a certain number of free VoIP call minutes for calls to Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney, excl. mobile phones. VoIP Free Minutes offers expire at the end of a Customer's Initial Contract Period, unless otherwise specified for their plan. Free calls are calculated with a minimum call time of 10 minutes and thereafter in 1 minute increments. On registration, TPG will debit customer’s credit card $20 for prepaid call credit to cover calls outside the free calls.
